Fog & Lightning
In the event of a electrical storm, suspend play immediately and take appropriate action. Shelters do not provide adequate protection from lightning. Do not continue to play in fog/poor visibility, when you cannot see the clear distance of your intended shot. When the Klaxon is sounded please leave the course as soon as possible.
Greens & Race Course Staff
The greens & race course staff have priority at all times whilst working on the course. Players should always alert staff nearby when they are about to make a stroke that might endanger them and wait for staff to move out of the way.
The Course, Its Steps And Surfaces
May be slippery when damp or wet and in frosty conditions. Golfers must ensure to wear appropriate footwear to meet the prevailing conditions [soft spikes]. Take care on steep slopes and around bunkers and in rough areas where Rabbit holes may be prevalent.
Buggies
To ensure the safety of all golf course users, buggy drivers are required to comply with the Club’s Buggy Safety Policy and follow this at all times. Take particular care around bunkers and ditches and on slopes. Do not take buggies directly to the sides of tees or green surrounds where a path does not exist
Road through the course
Take extreme care when playing across the road DO NOT play a shot when traffic is approaching. Be especially watchful for cyclists. Members in groups should watch for traffic at all times whilst play is in progress and warn the player making a stroke if it is not safe to do so.
Blind Shots
Some holes on the course have blind shots. It is the players responsibility to ensure the way ahead is clear before playing.
Do not tee off from the:
11th hole until the 17th green is clear.
12th hole until the green is clear if you are attempting to drive the green.
Public Access
At certain points on the course the public has right of way to cross; please ensure the way is clear before playing your shot. Non-golfers may not understand that they need to wait.
Race Club Paddock Area and Boundary Fences
If you should hit a ball over a boundary fence bordering the race club (or over any boundary fences bordering the course) DO NOT attempt to retrieve it.
First Aid
Assistance is available in the Shop or in the Clubhouse.
Defibrillator
A Defibrillator is situated outside the Clubhouse kitchen entrance.
Warning Shouts
If a shot has been misdirected toward an adjoining fairway not generally in play when playing from the teeing area concerned, please ensure a loud shout of FORE is made to alert fellow players they may be in danger.
These shouts are a courtesy and do not limit your liability if you are the cause of a physical injury.
All accidents must be reported to the Office or the Golf Shop.
